Rescued in June 2015, aged 6 weeks old.

Malnurished orphaned kitten dropped off inside a box at Sanctuary’s front door.

Rescue Story

An orphaned tiny kitten inside a small box wrapped with duct tape was dropped off at our Sanctuary’s front door.

We could hear the loud meowing coming from inside the box so we opened it up carefully, and there he was!

The most adorable tiny furball ever, looking terrified…

His eyes were wide open, and he was meowing so loud; we took him in immediately!

The kitten appeared to be in good health but skinny and full of fleas, so we gave him a warm bath and then something to eat.

He was not too happy about the bath but once he was dry and warm again, we fed him, and he started purring away.

His fur is all white and grey and he’s got the most beautiful green eyes.

His resemblance to our late senior rescue Tommy was simply amazing so we couldn’t help it! We named him TJ (Tommy Jr.) in his honor.

We fell for him in a heartbeat and despite our current housing problems, there’s no doubt in our hearts where he belongs.

TJ was introduced to our resident cat Vito, who had been rescued as an orphaned kitten a few years earlier, and they became inseparable since day one.

Tommy  Senior had crossed the Rainbow Bridge just a few days earlier and although nobody will ever replace him, taking care of this little one is helping us heal our broken hearts and carry on. He must be heaven sent!

UPDATE 2023

TJ is now 8 years old and has lived in the Sanctuary his whole life. So far, he’s never had any major health issues and leads a very happy life.
