MOLLY
Rescued in March 2015, aged 2.
Abandoned. Found paralysed inside a box near a feral cat feeding station. PTSD. Signs of abuse and neglect.
Rescue Story
Molly is our first ever dog rescue, she was found abandoned inside a cardboard box at one of Paul’s feral colonies. She was terrified, hungry, and full of fleas and ticks! She was so terrified she could not move a muscle.

We inmediately rushed her to the emergency vet for an urgent checkup.
For a couple of days she looked as if she was impaired but the vet confirmed she was not, there is nothing wrong with her legs however she suffers post-traumatic syndrome as a result of prolonged abuse and neglect.
She is also emanciated so she’ll be needing a special diet and of course lots of TLC!

She was given a warm bath to remove all ticks and fleas, had a healthy dinner and she’s is now sleeping safe and sound in our bathroom while she makes a full recovery and is ready to meet the cats at the Sanctuary.
UPDATE
She continues to be weak and exhausted, she can barely stand up to pee on the training pad. Last night she started to shake like a leaf, we had to cover her with a couple of blankets.

She was a very nervous and vomited 3 times during the night but after a while she calmed down and slept quietly throughout the rest of the night but she hasnt eaten much at all since last night. She looks confused and depressed.

We dont know much about dogs, we never had one before so we’ll be asking our vet for some more advice.
UPDATE
Life has been so tough on her, she so deserves a second chance so Molly has been welcomed to join our rescues in our cat sanctuary.

She’s a very fearful dog, very traumatized by the abuse and neglect she has been subjected to but she’s slowly learning what is like to be loved and safe.

It took her no time to get along with her feline friends.

She became especially fond of our little rescue Mimi and it’s great to see them play together.

UPDATE 2023
Molly is now 10 years old and has been a resident of the Sanctuary for eight years. To this day, she still suffers from severe PTSD and cannot even go for a walk on a leash outside the Sanctury. She only feels safe inside the home and Paul has to carry her in his arms up and down the stairs to take her to the terrace three times a day so she can go pee or poop.
