Our rescue Angel has been having difficulty breathing for a couple of weeks so we decided to take him to the vet’s for a checkup before it got any worse. Chest X-rays showed inflammation and mucus accumulation. He was diagnosed with bronchitis.
He’s also a bit overweight and needs to lose 1 Kg.; overweight cats are much more susceptible.
A fecal exam is needed to determine whether the bronchitis is being caused by parasites. The course of treatment will depend on the test results. Corticosteroids were prescribed to decrease inflammation and open the airway.
Speedy recovery Angel!
