Maya had her first vet checkup this morning. Although she’s completely asymtomatic, she tested positive in leukemia (FeLV+). She is not microchiped and it looks like she’s not pregnant either however it cannot be ruled out as yet. Vet said that an early pregnancy is difficult to diagnose without further testing such as ultrasound or Xrays. Special vet care costs are not affordable for us (only if absolutely necessary) so for now we were told to keep an eye on her and see how she develops and whether she shows any symptoms of pregnancy at a later time during the next few weeks.
She’ll be staying in the starter room for at least one more week and then she’ll be joining Jasmine, Minnie and Bella in CatRoom 3.
