Rocco has been hospitalized with IV fluids. He’s been diagnosed with kidney failure. His kidney values are 3 times higher than the normal range. Acute renal failure develops suddenly (over a matter of days) if diagnosed in time, it can often be reversed. On the other hand, CKD can be harder to treat; if he starts eating again soon, he can start treatment with meds but we’ll have to wait and see his progress within the next 24 hours to get an accurate diagnosis.
Rocco has been released from the hospital after spending 24 hours receiving IV fluid therapy. At the sanctuary, he’s being syringe-fed and given his meds. He’s not out of the woods yet 🙁 We want to thank everyone who’s been sending prayers and healing vibes.
