Chloé suddenly became very unwell
This morning, we had to rush Chloé (11) to the emergency vet after she suddenly became very unwell. She experienced severe vomiting and she had liquid diarrhea with a large amount of blood. The vets are running all kinds of lab tests.

Please keep our sweet Chloé in your thoughts and prayers 🙏 as we wait for results and pray for good news. We’ll update as soon as we know more. 🐾❤️
UPDATE
We’ve received her initial results, and Chloé has been diagnosed with a gastrointestinal ulcer, which caused the bleeding. The good news is that there’s no sign of infection, and most of her biochemistry values are within normal range, although there are signs of inflammation.

One value that is a little high suggests there could also be pancreatitis, but for now, the vets want to monitor her progress over the next few days before putting her through further testing.

At the vet hospital, she was given an anti-nausea injection (Malintrapan), and she is now on medication at home including Lypex, Vet Regu, and Gastrocare.

She also needs a vet-prescription Metabolic diet along with a very bland diet to help her recovery. We’re watching her very closely and hoping to see improvement soon.
Please keep our sweet girl in your thoughts and prayers as she fights through this. We’re hopeful, but still taking it one step at a time. We’ll continue to keep you updated. 🙏❤️

This first vet bill has come to €300 (approx. $347), including the cost of her treatment. If you’d like to help us cover Chloé’s vet care, please consider making a contribution to this month’s VET CARE FUND
