Negrita lost her battle with Cancer

It is with profound sadness and a heavy heart that we share with you the news that Negrita crossed the Rainbow Bridge earlier this afternoon, on September 12th, 2023.

Paul was holding her paw 🐾and giving her love ❤ and comfort until the end; we were by her side as she took her final breath.

After 14 months fighting lung cancer and heart disease, her fragile little body gave in, and it was time to let her go.

Negrita was rescued in June 2013, at the age of 5 and she was the very first FELV+ rescue to ever live in the Sanctuary.

She had a room and outdoor area all for herself and since she had no roommates Paul always made sure she’d get lots of extra TLC; she led a very happy life with us for ten long years!
