Raising Cheeky and Frankie

A few days after finding Cheeky starving and setting up a feeding station for *her, we could finally see the rest of the family.

While Luna (whom we suspect could be their mom) comes and goes and is rarely seen, Cheeky and Frankie have settled in, and we refill their feeding station daily.

About a half a mile away, there is a feral cat colony where lots of cats have been recently poisoned by some evil people who live in the area so it was a priority to set these babies feeding station well hidden from the public.

For their safety, Paul had to set their feeding station a bit further where they were found, in a clean area that is well camouflaged with lots of plants and trees.

Luna has not been around much lately and they seemed to be a little disoriented, so we had to lead them to a spot that is closer to their feeding station, where they can be safe and have their food and water handy but not exposed. WATCH VIDEO >

The fisrt couple of weeks, they were both scared of us and aloof, Cheeky would keep his distance and Frankie would rarely come out to eat if we were around but with time and preseverance things started to change and now they both wait for us to deliever their wet food. WATCH VIDEO >

Lately, there have been a few heat waves and it was very important to keep them hydrated so in addition to their wet food and fresh water, we also bring them some cold cat milk which they absolutely love! WATCH VIDEO >

So far so good! It’s been 6 weeks since Paul started feeding Cheeky and Frankie and they are growing up nicely.

UPDATE: We met someone who walks down this path everyday and said these two little orphaned babies were not born fearl but actually abandoned to their fate.
