Vito had dental surgery UPDATED
After taking dental X-rays, Vito was diagnosed with a condition called Tooth Resorption.
Dental surgery went well but it was a long and rather complex procedure because most of the teeth to be pulled were fractured.

After 6+ hours in the OR, 7 teeth were pulled and fractured root fragments were succesfully removed.
Last night, Vito was discharged by 8 pm and sent home to continue treatment with antibiotics and painkillers.

He is noticeably in pain and he has eaten some food with great difficulty but the fact that he’s hungry and very active is indeed a good sign.
Speedy recovery Vito🙏❤️🐾
UPDATE January 21, 2025
A month ago, Vito had 7 teeth pulled. Yesterday, we took him for a follow-up visit and we’re happy to inform that his mouth is healing well, and that the vet has taken him off all the meds he was taking to treat his laryngitis and esophagitis.

It was a rather quick checkup but he got quite stressed anyhow!
