We keep fighting but Oliver is gone…

We keep fighting but Oliver is gone...

Dear supporters,

After only eleven days, we could finally raise all the funds needed to continue fighting eviction in court.

Considering the challenging times the world is going through, we reckon this is a true miracle, so Jackie and I want to thank all those of you who pitched in to help us achieve such an important goal.

To everyone who donated towards what may have seemed like a “lost cause”, we say:

Thank you so much for believing in us and God bless you all.

Jackie and I are very aware that our society is not too keen on people like us. Today, people who are successful and have lots of followers are the complete opposite of what we are. We know so well that those who spread the seed of compassion, feed the hungry and help the helpless are not looked up to.

Sacrificing to the point of renouncing one’s personal and professional life, something we had to do to be able to devote ourselves to this cause, are principles and values that only a few understand, consider valuable or take as an example to follow.

However, despite how difficult it is to spread the seed of love and compassion in this world, with a strong faith and God’s favour, we have seen it sprout time after time; something that should serve to strengthen us all to continue to stand firm on the side of good, whatever the cause, fighting for a better world.

I’d like to give a big shout-out to Jim & Kim Giuntoli, for their generosity, humanity and profound sense of sensibility towards this cause of ours. Thanks to their incredibly generous donation, the emergency fundraiser goal was met long before its deadline. Jackie and I strongly believe Jim & Kim were heaven-sent to make this miracle possible and help us keep on surviving.

Thank you, Jim & Kim, for believing in us, may God continue to bless you and reward you abundantly.

Regretfully, just when the burden could have become a little lighter, life hit us hard once again. Suddenly, after enjoying his presence for nine precious years, we lost our beloved Oliver within 48 hours.

Oliver was such a special being, an angel who came into our lives to shower us with love and companionship, a gentle giant with an exceptional personality.

Oliver crossed the Rainbow Bridge on July 2nd, 2024.

Losing Oliver amid this fight for survival was particularly devastating. He left a void in our lives that can’t be filled. Jackie and I feel so heartbroken, a kind of heartache that time may ease but never heal.

Dear Oliver, thank you for giving us so much love and for being such a good cat; we’ll never forget you!

Thank you for reading me and God bless you,

Paul
