Cheeky and Frankie, growing up so fast!

It’s been two months since we started feeding a feral mama cat (Luna) and her two very young kittens (Cheeky and Frankie) whom we found in desperate need of help, somewhere along a secluded jogging path, 10 kms away from the Sanctuary.

Cheeky and Frankie keep on growing very fast; they both look healthy and well fed!

Frankie was the smallest and weakest one but not anymore…

Cheeky is also growing strong and beautiful too!

All the good care we are providing is paying off and helping him grow strong despite the current adverse weather conditions; we’ve been experiencing a terrible heatwave and unusually high temperatures (+40ºC) due to the wildfires spreading across the island, so we drive to their place to check on them everyday and also bring them wet food, milk and fresh water to keep them hydrated!

Even though they had a very rough start in life and were acting aloof, confused, and disoriented at the beginning, the fact that they have their feeding station refilled regularly has helped them stabilize and feel much more confident around us.

As weeks go by, they are learning to trust us more and more and they also enjoy interacting with us in the most adorable way!

Since they don’t have to struggle to find food and water anymore, they are becoming playful and mischievous and although they keep being feral we can now get close enough to get better pics of these two adorable characters!
