Lily lives with CHD on the streets

Lily is a feral cat with CHD (Cerebellar Hypoplasia Disease) who lives on the streets and risks her life every single day to get some food.

Paul spotted Lily a few days ago, when he was picking up some meds at the vet’s.

She was swaying from side to side, as she was walking down a very dangerous road, to get some food at a feral cat feeding station nearby.

Paul started asking around, and he was told some people in the neighborhood have been feeding her and other feral cats in the area for some time, but all this time nobody cared to (or could?) take her in.

Seeing her struggle to get to some food and water broke our hearts; we just couldn’t stand there and do nothing to help her.

Since the day we first saw her, we’ve been thinking of ways to bring her to safety. We reckon it’s not easy, but we keep trying!

We bring fancy wet food every single day at dusk to try to gain her trust, as we have done before with many other cats that were not easy to rescue.

We’re going back this afternoon, and we’ll attempt to lure her into a carrier so please keep us and Lily in your thought and prayers.
